This is a First Lady Michelle Obama appreciation post, prompted by a racist bigot classmate of mine, who called her ugly, obnoxious, and undignified. I don’t care about discussing politics here on my tumblr, but I do care about posting various pictures of one of the most beautiful, intelligent, and dignified First Ladies the USA has ever had the pleasure of gracing the White House.

Translation: “ugly” = not white. “obnoxious” = not willing hide her educated opinion in order to not make you feel stupid. “undignified” = wasn’t born into wealth = she had to work to get where she is.

Today I gave away about fifteen books from my personal library. It was oddly liberating. I’m such a book horde but for some reason I felt inclined to give a good chunk away. My cousin is an avid reader as well so I know she’ll take good care of them. And the way yet eyes lit up when I offered her the box full of books…it was all worth it. It did my heart good to make her happy :) I knowwww I’m such a sap, but I do love helping others get their literacy on.
